Elevate Your Portrait Drawing Skills

Discover the secrets of drawing realistic and expressive hair in this in-depth workshop. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist, this class will provide you with the tools and techniques to master this essential element of portraiture.

We will delve into the anatomy of hair, explore various textures and styles, and practice shading techniques. My hands-on approach will help you develop your confidence and skill in drawing hair.
At the end of this workshop, you'll be able to create stunning portraits with lifelike hair that complements your subjects' faces and personalities.
Age
Workshops are open to anyone who wants to draw and learn freehand drawing art from age 10 through adults. If you are a beginner or new to graphite pencil art, start from the Introduction to Graphite Pencil workshop.
Art LeveL
All art styles, skill levels, and art goals are welcome. If you are new to graphite pencil, I highly recommend taking the Introduction to Graphite Pencil workshop before taking other workshops. Each workshop builds skillsets needed for the next workshop.
Flexibility
Pick your workshop from two available session times! All workshops are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. All classes are 2 hours long, and it is $46/class.
Need more time to finish your work? Join the 2-hour open studio class in the following week for more individualized instructions.
Location
All workshops and open studio classes are held at Tanigawa Studio in downtown McKinney TX.
