Frequestly Asked Questions

  • To get started, please send me the following:

    • Your work-in-progress photographed straight-on in natural, diffused light (a bright window works great). Avoid angles or indoor yellow lighting.

    • Your original reference photo (not a photo of a print or screen—send the actual digital file).

    • Your question — Be specific! Let me know what area you’re working on and where you’re feeling stuck.

With this info, I’ll create a custom 10-step plan tailored to your artwork.

  • Each photo shows a visual simulation of what your art could look like after a step is applied.
Each step will focus on adding 1–3 colors or techniques to build your artwork gradually and intentionally.
    This isn’t just a “what to fix”—it’s a clear, do-this-next roadmap.

    • Use natural, indirect daylight near a window or take the photo outdoors in the shade.

    • Make sure the image is straight-on and not at an angle.

    • Do not compress the image—send the highest resolution possible.

    • If scanning, ensure the scan bed is clean and your image is color-accurate before submitting.

The better your photo, the better my guidance can be!

  • I provide detailed step-by-step guidance for:

    • Colored pencils

      • Prismacolor—color-specific guidance included.

      • Other colored pencil brands will receive general color direction based on the color family.

    • Graphite pencils

      • Pencil-specific guidance (from 2H to 6B) included.

  • You’ll get:

    • Personalized feedback on the progress you made using the original step-by-step guide

    • Targeted suggestions to fine-tune your piece and keep the momentum going

Think of it as a tune-up for your artistic engine!

  • Usually within 3 to 5 business days.
If I’m extra busy or out of town, it may take up to 7 days—and I’ll email to keep you updated.

Haven’t heard back in 3 days? Please feel free to check in!

  • Yes! If you want continued guidance on the same piece, just rebook the service.

I’m also working on bundled options, so stay tuned for those soon!
